Johnny-Come-Lately (A Triolet)
by David Pekrul
copyright 03-23-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Johnny-Come-Lately was late once again,
For that was the way that he was,
Always so late that he drove me insane,
Johnny-Come-Lately was late once again,
Said he was sorry and he could explain,
But late is the thing that he does,
Johnny-Come-Lately was late once again,
For that was the way that he was.

Cute clever and on target. I liked this and the theme reminds me of my daughter. She was three weeks late at birth and has never been on time since. It seems to be a completely unbreakable habit.

Hmmm... interesting. I think I drove my husband batty with my own truancies more than once. I've gotten better, he's gotten worse, and hopefully we've met somewhere in the middle. A Triolet, eh? WHat are the guidelines/criteria. Perhaps I should try it someday (soon). :-)
