Someone and No One
by Richard Reed Jr
copyright 03-27-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

"Hello," said one to another
"I'm someone and live in that tower"
"Well that's quite nice said the other
I'm no one and couldn't live lower"

"I've never met someone", said no one
"It must be lots of fun
To be a dandy someone
Who no doubt has always won"

"I've never met no one," said he
"And now I finally see
The riff-raff who live below me
Without me, you'd not even be"

With a nasty upturned nose
Each struck an awfully mean pose
upon their haughtily toes
They parted clearly as foes

Some years go by and then
These two do meet again
Clearly not the same men
They hardly remember back then

For no one was now a bourgeoisie
And someone truly was a blue_collaree
Thus now, much like you and me
It happened that someone and no one were anyone
Can't you see

Cute, I like it and yes, I do see, and yes, I do agree, that someone and no one could be both you and me, we could be anyone too you see! I'm going Kuku sp? Whatever, Great write, good job, thanks,

Regina

Great message for the reminder of the importance of equanimity. I liked the playful tone and rhyme scheme. I think "quit" should have been "quite" in the third line.

Jim
