A Girl Like You (A Quatern)

A Girl Like You (A Quatern)

I never knew a girl like you,
An angel filled with so much love,
Your honesty, so pure and true,
Like blessed showers from above.

I loved the ladies in my day,
I never knew a girl like you,
They used me, then they ran away,
And always left me feeling blue.

The ladies I would oft' pursue,
When I was out and on the town,
I never knew a girl like you,
For all the others turned me down.

I see my past as shades of gray,
With pretty ladies that I knew,
But though their beauty they displayed,
I never knew a girl like you.

This is so lovely. I'm soooo jelous of your talent, really I am. Your wife is so lucky to have you as a husband. I'm sure you must write her lots of poems.
Your friend,
Shannon

I nearly cried. Your poem was so sweet. I even showed my mother. She also shared my feeling toward your poem. I love it very much. May God bless you and your loved ones.

A nice celebration of love. Pretty lady in the photo. Curious as to who she is. Sounds like an ideal person. Outstanding verse, Paul
