Here and there
You could not find her anywhere

When you strained an ear
To hear her
For years you'd wait to hear a bark

Yet somehow when you'd take a step
She would take one with you

I agree, that was adorable! It made me think of how much I want a pet. :( I DON"T HAVE A PET!!! WAHH!!! When I get one when I'm, what, 45 years old, I'll keep reciting this poem endlessly! Great write!
