A woman child walks,
Surrounded in mist,
And patiently stalks,
The night with a kiss.
She catches the stars in her hands
Unaware,
And binds them with strands
Of dark angel hair,
With a sad little smile,
She tenderly dresses,
The night like a child,
In ebony tresses,
Then sings through the night,
In strange liquid tones,
Till the planets are queit,
Beneath haunted songs,
And the heavenly host,
In dreaming they weep,
For the beautiful ghost,
That sang them to sleep...

I think the word quiet is misspelled. I am curious why you chose to include planets when she was walking the earth?

Otherwise it is a hauntingly beautiful poem, I look forward to reading more of your work.

Haunting, quieting and beautiful. Could this ghost be Mother Nature? Whoever it is or isn't, the imagery is great.
