Dark Waltz
by Tiffany Forster (Age: 21)
copyright 05-06-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Obsidian marble
at the feet of the gods
smooth as silk
as fluid as water
The stage that is set for us.

Gazing angels
in envy at our dance
graceful as stars
perfectly timed
Our pinnacle of glory.

Ivory dresses
shrouding dark secrets
coloured shadows
hidden desire
The Waltz of the Night.

Fleeting touched
the dance is over
smouldering glances
echoing silence
The End of the Dark Waltz.

((I have wanted to write something entitled Dark Waltz for a very long time now...and along with this poem came a little plot bunny...so maybe one day I shall have a story titled Dark Waltz as well...))
