Due to the lack of interest regarding this column I was tempted to change the name of it in favor of one which would be more appealing.
I thought about it for quite a while then said to myself, "No !, why should I ?"
I would like to say that I come from a long line of die hard writer's who never gave up on an idea or story... sadly I can't.
Having said that I can safely say that I am crazy enough to continue this column even if it means I ramble on about things that you may never understand .
Who knows, I could be the new breed of writer who unleashes his (yet to be noticed) talent onto the unsuspecting public, (if they ever see it).
I do have one loyal person who I know will read every bit of my work and that person is-my other half.
I know what you are thinking, (Bless him his only reader is his wife).
You would of course be correct in saying that if that is what I meant...it was not.
The other half that I was actually talking about was the more mature, sophisticated and extremely well educated half of me.
I am not saying that I am a schizophrenic or anything like that, "yes I am" "No! I am not". This other half of me understands my crazy thoughts, analyzes them and decides whether or not I should risk going into an institution for the mentally insane as a punishment for writing and publishing the things that I think of, or on a more sedate level, points out that the nearest pedal bin is only two feet away.
Luckily for me that on some occasions I have opted for the later.
Whichever way you look at it, it is a fifty-fifty option (to write it or not to write it).
Life is about taking risks, even more so in this crazy world of writers.
We must decide whether to risk our reputation being seriously damaged for submitting an article that may border on the ridiculous, or once again play another game of bin basketball.
Me?----I like the risk.

Ah, my friends, that is why I keep plugging away at the keyboard-comments,comments,comments, it shows me that there is a point to all of this.
Thankyou!

Hey you crazy writer, you make reading so fun...don't you dare give up this column! I loved the idea of two halves of oneself. Hmm....I think in my case there are more than 2 halves, in fact, I'm not sure how many there are of me out there. **g**
Keep on writing, having fun and hey you just never know what'll happen around that next corner. (especially if your two halves ever meet **g**)

I took a class in writing once, the assignment was to finish a story that was given to us. I thought everyone would have the same imagination and so the ending would be the same in all cases, I was so surprised, there were as many different endings as there were people. We write to express ourselves, and that is a very good thing. Keep writing Mc Leod!
