No, Eve, Dear daughter of mine,
you're not doomed
you're doin' fine

You're just misunderstood
your only sin
is not comprehending
The problem occurs
not by my original words
but through the translation

The first question that you asked
I will answer
but it won't be your last

Before I show you what you seek
I should warn you
before I speak

If it's really what you want
I won't deny
I will be blunt

But just know it will not suffice you
and the answer
will later confuse you

At first you will see
and you'll understand
and even agree

It will all make sense
and you'll be glad you asked
but then you'll remember
what I said last

With this answer
you will have more questions
and then those answers
will keep you guessin'

Listen,

There is no end to the wisdom I contain
and the knowledge thereof
will drive you insane

Just be careful
my dear daughter,
and please don't be led
to slaughter

I Am The Shepherd
you are my sheep
and in my hands
your soul I keep

You shouldn't want to be like me, and know all things
you mustn't question
I know it sound strange

But how can you see all, do all, and be all,
all the time
let me do that
you just rhyme

You'll learn what you need to
and you'll achieve
what you were born to do

It's okay if you don't have faith in me right now
and you're confused
I still have faith in you
that's why it is you that I choose

You're gonna make it kid
You'll be all right
Just forget the darkness
Walk in the light

After the darkness
comes the dawn
let the past go,
it's dead, it's gone

Oh, and by the way
pay attention
to what I say

Listen,

You were not formed by a mere rib of a mortal man
you were given the breath of life
while he was sleeping
you are his dream

Now do you see
you come from the curve of a man
two halves to make one whole
you complete him
you mate his soul

So no, you are not
a part of his heart
but you are not his rib either

You are his reflexion,
his companion,
his lover,
his friend

He dreamed of you every night
There was nothing else worthy
in his sight

In all the world, in all the land
Across the seas, across the oceans,
there was nothing in creation
that could hold his hand,
share his emotions

And so I made you
with my own hands
Now, do you see
do you understand?

From the curve of man
to the whole of woman
in the pursuit of happiness

That's it,
to be happy,
so,
are you happy,
now?

And that's how I suppose
the conversation came to pass
and what God might say
if one should ask

But I wouldn't dare ask him for real
but I like to pretend,
that's how I deal

I just express my feelings on paper
how ever it comes out
and I keep writing
to understand
exactly what I'm talking about

But hey, it could happen

Mosses parted the red sea,
Peter walked on water,
So it's not so hard to believe
I talked to God,
I am his daughter!

I thought the lines: "Now do you see - You come from the curve of a man - two halves to make a whole - you complete him - you mate his soul" were awesome. I have just found new love after being heartbroke, and this is exactly how I feel about her - I am only half there without her, and I am quite incomplete without her. I also read your other poem on Adam and Eve, and enjoyed reading this as an encore. Thanks for sharing.

Best wishes,
Moses

Hey Girl,

Fantastic follow-up. Clears up some things. I liked the way you left thee first poem open for this one;

The Delphic Oracle said to Socrates,
"I alone am the greatest of all Greeks:
For I alone know that I know nothing!"

I dream of you every night, I think it's you!?

Excellent poem and picture.
From the God are blessings to the poets of such a kind kind,
And Holy Spirit with Holy Son with 1000 metamorphoses opening our mind;
Gifted us angel-muses divisions, baptized us modern-classic apostles of poetry:
And this poem is witness, that we only able to approach to Eternity.

interesting and unsual. I found this to be a nice write.
God bless,
Mrs. Tigran Israelyan
