Forever, I Will Be The One (A Quatern)
by David Pekrul
copyright 04-29-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Forever, I will be the one,
Who takes a chance and has some fun,
While others beat the same old drum,
While playing safe and having none.

Now, I will tread where angels fear,
Forever, I will be the one,
Embarking on a new frontier,
I keep on going until I’m done.

I’ll never lose or be outdone,
For there are none can out-do me,
Forever, I will be the one,
To live a life of being free.

With arms of bronze and feet of clay,
I’m feeling strong, but on the run,
But I will do it my own way,
Forever, I will be the one.

This is a good poem. It says to me that you like to, as Robert Frost once wrote, "take the road less traveled". Not many people like to do that - as you've written. I bet you have a pretty exciting life then. Nice work.

How curious, all kinds of ideas sweep my mind, I'm not sure witch one to grasp, I will just say I like it alot, maybe even better than your last, I'm not sure what your saying, I have a pretty good idea, your way or the high way, or your gonna do it on your own, without his help, in this story I mean, well that's what I get out of it, but I was a preachers daughter so I don't know, Great write, good job, thanks,

Gina
