Everything I Sow
by David Pekrul
copyright 05-04-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Standing on divided roads,
And looking past the sun,
Knowing what has brought me here,
And knowing what I’ve done.

Wondering where I go from here,
Now, how do I proceed?
What is it I have to do,
In order to succeed?

Everything I’ve done before,
Has left me in a mess,
Though I didn’t try too hard,
Of that I must confess.

Oft’ bewildered by the task,
Of something I can’t do,
Never try and wonder why,
I never make it through.

Need to give it all I have,
And see what lies ahead,
Hoping all works out for me,
Although I’ve made my bed.

Barely even getting by,
I haven’t got the will,
Everything I’ve done before,
Has left me unfulfilled.

Need to get back on my feet,
And do the things I must,
Work with what life’s given me,
As in my God I trust.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
And pray my soul to keep,
Everything I sow in life,
Is everything I reap.

Good job, I can kind of relate to this....it's kind of wierd...it's almost like I have a split personality in my head, because sometimes I hear this little voice in my head and it's all bad and stuff, and then this other, bigger voice over-rules that voice and tellms me what I should do and what would be right...it's kind of wierd. Lol. But hey great job I loved it and a lot of people can probably relate to this, well, actually everyone can, because who hasn't given up once in their lives? Who hasn't not been able to give in and break just once? Well, you see, if we didn't give up once in a while, the world wouldn't need any hope, and hope comes from love. It's our problems and dilemma's that makes thw world go round, if you think about it. I mean that in the sense that if we didn't have problems and give up once in a while our love would be a lot weaker, and the world would be even more filled up with war, poverty, and love-deprived people. So it's what keeps the world spinning. Many people think that 'Oh, I wish I didn't have any problems',and hey, who doesn't think that once in a while when things get to seem unbareable?, but that's when we show each other how strong we truely are. Many people think that being strong means that you don't show your feelings and you don't cry and stuff, but those people are actually the weakest iof them. Being strong really means that we are able to rely on one another without feeling ashamed, of being who you truely are, and not be embarrassed; beingvstrong is to stick up for what you beleive in without fear. And yeah, you've probably realized this already lol, plus, I'm getting a cramp in my wrist from typing lol :P. Anyway, great poem I loved it!

I sometimes feel just like this. All I've done in life, and what do I have to show for it? I like this.
