Thousands of dollars spent thoughtless for this tradition
The evening will celebrate a pageant of holy communion
Of man and woman's Heavenly dream, blissful union
Praying for many happy years of joyous reunion
A flying carpet ride with a priestly magician
Floating on the strains of the chapel musician
The procession embarking on a journey with a mission.
Reception, loud music, many layered cake
Toasts, roasts, and merriment will awake
Drinking vintage wine, eating the prime of the steak
Eating, drinking merry, making fragile stomachs ache
Meanwhile reality wearing a wrinkled face
A dour man tailor-fitted in dichotomy, Jekyll and Hyde
Resting in the overjoyed heart of the bride
Marking the time when today's joy slips from her hand
While the bride beams brightly in her uninformed grace
Unsuspectingly waiting on the threshold's promised land

The major impact of the poem lies in the last part. Bravo on describing the scene brilliantly, and giving the image of 'just another wedding.' The whole ordinary scene thing is a really good way to start off a tale with a moral to it, or with a message. I've been interpreting and analyzing stories and poems for the past week, so I'm pooped! but I will say I love how you threw in Jekyll and Hyde.
Okay I just left a really long comment and for some reason it didn't take, so I am just going to give you the jist of it, I like your style, of course you know, I don't understand your words, at least some of them, it confuses me a little, okay alot, but just tell me if this is about plans that have changed, or am I totally off base, I probably am, and it's all in my head, but if I'm not I will finish what I said, Great write, good job, thanks,
