It’s his “Home On The Range”,
You may think it is strange,
With its carnivals, midways and shows,
It’s a circus frontier,
Makes him laugh, makes him cheer,
Why he likes it, well God only knows.
Has a midway so large,
Where he plays for a charge,
Sees the Big Top with lions and bears,
Watches flying Trapeze,
As they do it with ease,
And they don’t even seem to be scared.
And the colourful clowns,
Make him smile, never frown,
As they trip and fall, making him laugh,
And with lions so wild,
But their trainers so mild,
He is terrified on their behalf.
Back when he was a boy,
Didn’t have any joy,
For his parents were fighting all day,
He would hide in his room,
Like a child in the womb,
When the circus came, he ran away.
Now his “Home On The Range”,
Is a life free of pain,
In this circus of laughter and joy,
As he watches the clowns,
Make a smile from a frown,
Every day, he spends being a boy.
