Aye! This is a devil's enterprise
Worse than cocaine at addling my brain
What kinds of tricks it plays on my eyes
It seems to relax but deals a strain
I would give it up if I were wise
Little people seem to haunt my room
Masquerading as though they were real
They pause for a bit then they resume
What demons these, for my mind to steal
These life-like creatures of loathsome doom
They joke and laugh and co-conspire
Performing sleight of hand diversion
With theft of my rights to acquire
The methods of my own excursion
Into self-created desire
The surest cure must be cold turkey
It's clear nothing else can suffice
I must return to reality
And not one bought at their asking price
No pain, no gain

Good message.
I'm not a great TV fan, I watch probably no more than one hour a night, maybe less. Now my wife is a different story. I tell her I'm going to send her to 'TV Anonymous'.
As far as poem structure, it reads well, but you lost your rhyming pattern in the last stanza.
I quit watching T.V. too, I used to be addicted to soaps but when I moved and my life began, I lived my life instead of them. To much to do, can't go to bed, I might miss something, I can sleep when I'm dead. That my friend, is precicely when, I began to write, and aquired gift of sight. I started writing instead of reading, and my life started flowing intead of my heart always bleeding. Do want to know what I learned along the way? I learned to be greatful for each and everyday. Tomarrow isn't promised to us, there's no garuntee, that we'll wake in the morning, we have to wait and see, and more importantly I heard God speak, and this is what he said. He said, "Life ain't all a bed of roses, but atleast it's not a crown of thorns.
