Soul Train

  Soul Train

The train’s pulling out of the station,
On board are the souls of mankind,
It’s God’s holy railroad to Heaven,
You don’t want to be left behind.

This railroad is heading for Glory,
And all those on board will get in,
For Christ paid the ticket on Calvary,
Releasing us all from our sin.

The Father is steering the engine,
The Spirit is feeding the fire,
And Jesus, our only Conductor,
Is guiding us higher and higher.

He’s building a railroad to Heaven,
Preparing a place to abide,
Then one day He’ll call us to Glory,
To live with Him there by His side.

So ride on this heavenly railroad,
Accepting the gift of God’s love,
‘Till we see the station of Heaven,
Our home in the sky up above.

You remain the master of rhyme. I love this new metaphor for our spiritual journey. Quite original.
