The Great Philosophical Question

he could see nothing at all
after his fall
Paul

became blind then deaf in each ear
when he walked too near
to a sound severe-


ly in haste
he ate such a paste
his tongue became dead to taste-

buds which could no longer tell
which flavor was foul or swell
next he lost all sense of smell, well

of Paul what was left was not much
wonder not that his pills were of such
by day's end he had lost all touch


with the doctors who thought one and all
of what was to become of it all
did any longer exist, Paul?
