I'll Live Another Day
by David Pekrul
copyright 05-21-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Just let me lie here fast asleep,
I do not want to wake,
For every time I turn around,
I give, but someone takes.

I do not want to face to world,
I cannot stand the view,
For every time I take a look,
I see not them, but you.

For you're the one who let me down,
When I was climbing up,
And you're the one who stole my drink,
And left me with the cup.

I thought you were a friend of mine,
And I could count on you,
But every time I called you up,
You said that we were through.

So now I lay here fast asleep,
And hope that death will come,
As I remember how it was,
And see what I've become.

But, what is this? - Another day?
And why am I still here?
Oh, now I see what's happening,
For now it is so clear.

I have a reason to be here,
And live another day,
So, see the things that I will do,
And hear the things I say.

Although you try to take me down,
I'll do the things I must,
And though you think I have no strength,
It's in my God I trust.

So take your shots the best you can,
But they will miss their mark,
For I will rise to meet the day,
And on my path embark.

You are on your journey of a thousand miles, and have just took your first step. If you want things to change you must now pass on what you have learned so the circle can be complete. It is time to teach, and then learn again, and then pass it on the others comming along behind, I am paying attention, and trying real hard to listen, and passing it on to others, my sisters and my brothers, great write, good job, thanks,

Regina
