Tainted Silence ( song lyrics)
by Elisabeth H.
copyright 06-03-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

She walked down a lonely path, a destiny full of endless tears. The spirit of an Indian, she would never stray too near. He had no knowledge of pain or sorrow, of feelings of passion or love; the symbol of two white doves.

Chorus: He opened her eyes only to shut them again.
He opened her mind only to shut it again.
And he opened her soul and pulled out her
heart only, oh, only to shut it again.

Passing her by, his charm caught her eye-his warm eyes softened her gaze. She fell in love with the one simple touch of her true love's smiling face.

Chorus: He opened her eyes only to shut them again.
He opened her mind only to shut it again.
And he opened her soul and pulled out her
heart only, oh, only to shut it again.

Communication closed off through words as they danced together in the rain. Feelings the same, they had nothing to blame of fate that brought the opposite together.

Chorus: He opened her eyes only to shut them again.
He opened her mind only to shut it again.
And he opened her soul and pulled out her
heart only, oh, only to shut it again.

As her glorious hair shed from golden to black, the boy became speechless and had to turn his back. Tears streamed down her face as she turned to run away to the darkness of the night where she belonged.

Chorus: He opened her eyes only to shut them again.
He opened her mind only to shut it again.
And he opened her soul and pulled out her
heart only, oh, only to shut it again.

And after that day he saw no trace of the wild girl who danced with him in the rain. Completely he erased her from his mind as he found his hate grow and grow in one thing alone...

SILENCE.

This song is beautiful, I was truly moved by it. I think you are a very good lyricist (however you spell it), Keep up the great work.

Liz (how do you like to be called?),

This is indeed a most moving song, ~sniffle sniffle sob~ I was greatly touched.
Why does she belong only to the darkness, can you tell me?
Your question to me is, of course impossible to answer. Silence means what the silent person intends it to mean. Love, Hate, Indifference, Fear, who knows? One can only meet silence with coaxing and more coaxing, like-knock and the door shall be opened unto you, but you must keep knocking and knocking without giving up until the door finally opens.

I think you and I have much in common, I have managed to remain a little child as Jesus suggests. It is most difficult because it is an adult world and all of us are pressed to be adults. Can we not be both?
Read my poem "My Life Of Salvation" in my book "Metaphor".

I hope we will become friends.
Remember, I'm only an E-mail away,

Rich
