Through the Canvas
by Irina Guschina (Age: 53)
copyright 06-10-2006

Age Rating: 13 to 127

The house drawn by me
Nine hundred twelve days ago.
Shelter for two hearts,
Ah, where we have never been.
Our sad house got old
And I boarded up the door.

House's heart sighed and died, but
A grass sprouts through the canvas!

I like the way you paint this poem into a picture, for all of us to view.

I see, you've been at this site awhile. Writing is a new hobby, for me. I enjoy reading what others write, as well.

Thank you for submitting so many different styles of poetry. Looking forward to sifting through the words you've left on these pages.

Susan

Dear Greg and Leah!
Thank you for reading and such warm words!

Sorry, I answer you that way (in Add Comment).
God bless you!

Irina.

Irina, I liked the visual representation... What an artist creates from something remembered in memory - seems to have its own life...an lives on forever. Very good. Greg Kis

short and sweet. I like that.

(sorry, I just came back in from a long poetry-free hiatus, to explain that cliche. but I really do like this poem.)

I like the imagery of a sad, old house... and I love "House's heart sighed and died, but / A grass sprouts through the canvas!"
