Weeping Over Me
by Irina Guschina (Age: 53)
copyright 06-24-2006

Age Rating: 16 to 127

Know, when I die one summer day,
Butterfly’s wings will cover me;
Grass’s gentle whisper will calm me down;
Silvery sand will dry my tear.

Only blueberry's purple eyes
Will weep over me night by night.

Left me with a feeling of peace and serenity. It also left me sad - the world is so hectic, but it beats the alternative. I found this very interesting. Greg Kis

Hello Irina, I really liked your poem. I especially loved the phrase, "Butterfly’s wings will cover me."

It's just so errey and beautiful, unique, orginal and yet something that you would sort to expect in a poem like this. In other words this phrase alone made it this poem, which is obviously about death into a something beautiful.

Tabitha.
