Greed

  Greed

Greed is ungodly, it’s like a bad deed
But it’s something on which most humans feed
See, it’s in our nature, but we can be freed
Turn from bad to good, the new side of a leaf
But if all are a coward, then who will take lead
Of planting new seeds on which we may feed
But first take out weeds, which we do not need
One person must stand and do us this deed
And not be afraid of the burdens he’ll heed
This person is Christ, Gods own son, unique
He carried the cross then for us, He did bleed
He did it for us, that we might be freed
Of sins and lust, and even our greed
So follow His lead, and you will indeed
Be freed from all sin, if you just believe
The Lord sent His son, unique, to plant seeds
Of hope and faith, and of doing good deeds

Very nicely done, Jessica, and a great testimony.
Your poems are becoming deeper and more complex each time. Keep up the good work.
