A Day At Home

  A Day At Home

Smiling up at me
with those angelic faces;
Moving close for me to
tickle those funny places.

"Mommy, Mommy, can we please
go out side to play?"
"Okay, Okay, Now you can't
stay out all day!"

Jumping in the pool,
racing around the house,
Like a bunch of cats
chasing a field mouse.

"Alright now girls come inside
and get a snack."
"Oooh can we have the ones with
scooby on the pack."

Is It nap time yet,
I'm already pooped,
Just for a little while;
alrighty now I've recouped.

Lets practice our numbers
and the ABC's.
Now that we've counted sheep
and had our zzz's.

"Can we go to
the park now Mommy?"
"Not today I'm sorry"
I have to say calmly.

All three in unison scream
"But I want to go to the park!"
"We can't, Daddy's coming home
and soon it'll be dark."

"Tomorrow is another day
my sweets."
"So lets hop in bed
and get under those sheets."

"Alright now Kayla it's never nice
or okay to be a Brat."
Our story-book for tonight is our favorite...
The Cat In The Hat.

This exactly the childhood I wish I had. I'm so glad that you and your family are so happy. I'm so envious.
Great Job!

A really super look at a very happy family. You made me smile and made my day. Very good rhyme and rhythm.

Bravo!

Great rhyming. It's like your life is the story of the Cat in the Hat, always happy and hopping around. It would be perfect kids if every single one now and then were like that. The world wouldn't;t be filled with hate. Do they really act like angels or do they have their moments? You don't have to answer...I really liked this poem. Keep it up. Talk to you later.

Good one, Tammy! I like the family setting, and they sound like such cute girls! Did I read two of them are twins? If so, I give you lots of credit! My hubby is a twin, and the stories they tell...!
As for the poem, you tell it with such a simpleness, it really does make it warm. And the edits that you made to it are great! Good job!
