seas crashing on the shore
gets me lonely,
makes me want you even more.

Alone I sit here
wondering where you are.
Asking myself will you
ever be my shining star.

I miss you so much
more with every passing day.
Do you think about me
just as much or in another way?

I can't believe that
you are gone;
Away from me like
the end of a song.

I wish I could hit repeat
and start over again,
Maybe I could be what you needed
and heal your pain.

I was selfish
and also very mean,
I was young and stupid too
and a little green.

Please forgive me
for being wrong,
And for failing to
understand for so long.

You were there for me
when I needed you,
But when you needed me I was
complaining about something new!

Our love died out like
a flame in the rain.
Now you're gone and I'm
the one in pain.

Sad but true, a lot of romance never seems to work out. Very nice rhythm in the poem! Your words work together very well.
