Tighter, Tighter
by Jessica P. (Age: 15)
copyright 07-10-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

You were supposed to be there
We were best friends 'till now
From dawn to dusk and night to day
How this happened, I don't know how

The phone, it used to ring for me
And it was either the two of you
Well, then, they stopped, I don't know why
Please answer, what did I do?

If you could tell me what went wrong
I wouldn't feel like crap
But you just won't, and I'm left to wonder
And the stress begins to wrap

Tighter, tighter, I'm bound like this
In so much stress and fear
I didn't want to lose you guys
At least not so soon this year

I knew it would, it was bound to be
We'd go our separate ways
I'm glad I'm not alone right now
For other friends, they say

They tell me not to worry,
And to drop down all this fear
They're there for me when I need them
Them and God are all I hear

So you're locked out
I don't need you, we've gone our separate ways
I still don't know just what went wrong
Maybe you'll tell me someday

Yea i would agree with the first comment,
there are many people that become "friends"
because thy have similar beliefs and objectives,
but only real friends actually love you.

Many people come and go in our lives, but only real friends stay forever. You've done a very good job of expressing yourself in this one. Your rhyming and flow are great. Very good.
I would give you five points for this, but I only have two in my collection, but they're yours.
