A Little Green

  A Little Green

Torn in three like a road diverged plus one.
Pulling us back, pushing us forward, or standing us still.
We simply can't choose all three nor chose none.
We have done everything in our will.

We want to go forward but everything's stopping us.
We dislike staying here and make the best of it.
Going back is worse than it ever could be.
We've tried everything but nothing seems to fit.

Truth' is we want so much more for our family.
More than to just get by day to day.
We understand that things take time, and time is the key,
But we've paid our dues' but our common goals are still far away.

We know what to do, What we could do, and what we have done,
And we've racked our brains on everything in between.
I need to work so that everything we have won't come undone.
All I'm looking for is a little green! $$$

You did a fairly good job rhyming here. It gives a slight tone of humor to what is for many an often unpleasant and difficult situation. Good job.

Jim
