Girls with the clever cliche
Stabbed me in the back
They speak the tender words of love
Reduce it to an act

She's there for your desires...
Never satisfied
The moment of contentment...
A substitute for love

My heart's been broken too many times
I won't let it break no more
When the girl with the furtive glances
Asks to probe her soul...
I say:
I Don't Care to Know
I Don't Care to Know
I Don't Care to Know
I've heard those lies before

A woman without disguises
Elusive in the dark
Searches for the shelter
Of a melancholy heart

She's there for your compassion...
Lonely and alone
Consumed by painful emptiness
That fills your very soul
I say:
I Don't Care to Know
I Don't Care to Know
I Don't Care to Know
I heard those lies before
