Passions Of The Poet
by Richard Reed Jr
copyright 07-31-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

The scribbled-down passions
penned
by the poet

on

the exquisite piece of paper
dead on the thorns of

friday's rose

after showing such promise
on monday.

They pierce my hands
leaving behind
my stigmata

bleeding upon
the

rose there dying
cut from its root like

the love it portrays.

Rich: to coin a word, "exquisite"! I found no shortcomings and everything positive. This should be in a book somewhere. Really. This, I think, ranks among your very best, if not the best of all I've read. Keep it up!

A very interesting poem and a very interesting way of laying it out. I liked it alot even though it's a short poem there was alot said. There's alway more emotion than you think when poems are written more secrets and words hidden.
Anyways good work and keep it up

Emy xx

This poem is so pretty. I like how it flows, how the structure just adds to this natural flow of your poem.

Great write, your number one fan Tabby.
