My life
by Lisa Harmon
copyright 08-09-2006

Age Rating: 16 to 127

I’m lying here, all alone,
No more laughter, my life’s gone,
Flashing before my own true eyes,
No more laughter, and no more cries.
Falling in an endless spiral,
No screams of help, it’s a vicious cycle,
Childhood gone and lost forever,
My family's gone, I’m like a feather,
Falling slowly until everything stops…

Nothing seems to make me happy,
All alone, what can I do?
Finding ways to stop me falling,
It’s never going to work,
Parents trying to understand me,
People trying to forget me,
Where should I go?
What should I do?
My life’s over now, there’s no more to do,

Planning things for adult life,
When I can only think about that old knife,
Slashing my veins and ending my problems,
Leaving everything behind,
My babies love me and I love them,
But I can’t be helped.

Tomorrow will be a special day,
The day I try to comprehend,
What happened to me that normal day,
I was outside just wanting to play.

Life might go on,
Or it might stop,
You never know, What’s around that dark corner back in your mind,
Where no-one goes, your special place, your special home,
It could be good, it might be bad,
You want to know, but there’s a little nagging feeling,
Back in your mind, telling you that you won’t like what you’re going to find.

You're stuck in the middle,
No direction to turn,
Special people close to you gone; you’ve got to decide,
You take the road not many dare,
Your life’s over and nobody cares…
It seems like you’re gone, and yet forgotten,
Endless stares through that old looking glass,
It’s over; no more time, it’s stopped…

Now you finally know what it’s like to be ME!
