A Kiss
by Robert Joseph Hughes
copyright 08-08-2006

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Will there ever be a night?
That I could share with you
Could I ever kiss your lips?
And feel a love that’s true

Have I ever touched your heart?
Or stopped you in your tracks
To turn your head to find me
When ever you look back

Have you ever thought of me?
When nights are cold and dry
Will I warm your thoughts tonight?
Or say to me goodbye

All I ask is just one night
Before you sleep so free
Just to think about a kiss
A kiss to you from me

Like Jack,

I too felt the sense of longing in this poem. Your words are vivid and well arranged.
Love is so bittersweet.

Your new PnP friend,

Rich

I love the picture this write gives. Longing for love can be a wonderful thing, especially if it blossoms.

Put this one in a card and send it to her with a dozen roses. If that doesn't melt her heart, I don't know what will.

This is a really nice piece. I love your rhyming scheme... you make it rhyme and keep a great flow throught the whole thing. I know that can be rather hard to do.
Great job!
