Daddy's little princess
by Lisa Harmon
copyright 08-09-2006

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Daddy’s little princess,
Watches the day go by,
Daddy’s little princess,
Tell me why do you cry?

You’re daddy’s little princess,
Always having a game to Daddy’s little princess,
Watches the day go by,
Daddy’s little princess,
Tell me why you cry?

You’re daddy’s little princess,
Always having a game to play,
You don’t always have to be the best,
Listen to what I have to say.

You’re daddy’s little princess,
When you dream reach for the stars,
Do all that you could wish for,
And look after your scars!!

Daddy’s little princess,
The days are coming to an end,
You’ve got to grow the hell up,
I have no time for you to spend!

You used to be so pretty,
Now you’re just a slut,
Who suffers childish nightmares,
Craving attention as you cut.

Daddy please don’t leave,
Your princess is still waiting,
Don’t take your time debating,
Please…I still believe.

The window is still stained,
From all of my Sunday tears,
Am I still to be blamed?
Even after all these years.

Hiding all my feelings,
I think what I should not,
But no one really knows how many feelings that I've got.

Thirteen yeas later,
And I still sometimes crave,
To be my daddy’s little princess,
I promise to behave.

Wow! At the beginning I was picturing me as my daddy's little princess, but them in turned into such emotion! I hope none of this has anything to do with you.
All the best,
Kate

Bravo! I was shocked when I got to the end. But it was amazing! It completely changed the my view of the poem. It has a message, and I love it! You hsould really write more, you're a very good poet!
