My Fake Persona
by Angela Toshner (Age: 19)
copyright 08-14-2006

Age Rating: 7 to 127

I have this fake persona
that a writer I will be
That with my freedom of verse
others truly agree.
I fight by battles with words,
not by speech, but by caligraphy.
And for my silent ways to fight,
most assume I just take flight.
They overlook the words
stareing them straight in the eye.
Don't take the time to comprehend
that what I write about,
is them.

*for all the people who told me when I was younger that writing was a silly way to spend my time*

It is said, and rightly so, that the pen is mightier than the sword. You are proving the point with this.
However, it would be much better if you checked your spelling. Calligraphy, has two 'L's, and there is no 'E' in staring.

Wow, very nicely said. I write like that too, I think almost everyone writes like that, about people, I mostly write about people that tick me off,(from my school) Keep it up. Talk to you later.

Very powerful words with a most profound message.
However, with all due humility, when you write about them, or us, don't forget to write for us and to us, as well.

This is a great piece coming from a great heart.

Thanks,

Your old friend,

Rich
