Sad Water
by Walter Jones (Age: 63)
copyright 09-02-2006

Age Rating: 13 to 127

So it is the reason as skies and tears begin their fall
A drifting conclusion of truth and failing walls

So perception of life in its true form
A calling of heat and fire of the storm

So wander across a flaming street
It is not the person but people we meet

No reason for wealth to be concerned
Just a season of willing to learn

Sad is the water as the well runs dry
As voice of reassurance from a dark sky

Not an answer but coarse to believe
I want to live I want to receive

Such a child of nature
A growing loving batch

In the health of dying we come back at last
To review and accept the past

Come in the window of view to be
The lesson of living only we can see

No problems with moving past the fire we create
Just a perception we have seen the answers too late

I am left with the confirmation of a truth I have learned in life: We start our own wars. Build our own houses of hell. We make battles out of thin air and fight ourselves loudly at others, not being their argument at all, but our own malcontent that built that fire.
Sad water of souls we have used to put that fire out!
Whether or not your point is in my grasp, I thank you for reminding me of my own perspective. As turmoil dwells in my own relationship with life and death.
