As you can tell, I’m not a fan of cats, but each to their own.
I guess someone has to love the cat. lol
Now I lay me down to sleep,
What is that thing by my feet?
Didn't I get rid of that?
It’s that hairy, mangy cat.
Wants to sleep with me in bed,
But I throw it out instead,
It can sleep outside at night,
Although some don’t think that’s right.
There is room in here for one,
But I send it on the run,
I’ll let puppies sleep in bed,
Cats belong out in the shed.
Puppies are the sweetest things,
And much joy to me they bring,
But that scrawny, little cat,
Looks much better chasing rats.
Oh, you say, “Don’t be so cruel”,
“You are acting like a fool”,
But I say, “I’ve made my pick”,
And with puppies I will stick.
Puppies are a man’s best friend,
Staying faithful to the end,
But the cat just plays it cool,
And it plays me for a fool.
You may love your kitty-cat,
And with that I have no spat,
But for me, the dog is best,
That old cat is just a pest.
