The Buddha Beckons Beckett
by James Shammas (Age: 44)
copyright 09-12-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

GAUTAMA. (Sitting silently among hail, wind, rocks and stones)

"Go ahead.

Punch the pillow. Fluff it up.
Push the blankets up, then down.

Scream and rock. Keep moving.
Move until you're still.

Exhausted, move again.
In the stillness move

With meaning and conviction. Keep at it.
Just don't think it through. Don't.

It is what it is. That's all there is:
What blossoms blooms from the manure mound.

The Buddha says so."

BECKETT. (Sitting silently, farts in multi-colored orbs of flaming luminosity)

"Pffheerrrumphew!"

Oh, I just knew these two guys would appreciate this one!

In wisdom left a few words survive the truth of every man, nothing survives in nature longer than the laugh. In smoke of words that bend fold in heavens brought to face, no comment of worth has ever touched his face. Walt

Was Beckett the fart or was the fart, Beckett?

Am I leaving anything here?
