Breathe Easy
by Jack Curson (Age: 32)
copyright 10-04-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

And so it is with you,
During these times of selfishness,
Scarcity of generosity,
To give, freely!
Blessed by the many things given,
Warmly, with a great heart of joy,
Set aside your aspect of “Deserving”,
These things are not yours to own.
Receive the sparkle of someone’s smile,
Or heartfelt grasping hugs,
Blanketed with kisses made of thank you’s,
Moments bottled in memory for loves sustenance.
Can you make this plea?
Spiriting your soul to grasp hold of our Savior’s steps!
Be weary in your supporting battle to carry on;
Like a child look forward in innocence,
This opportunity challenges a future built on a foundation in love!
Can you imagine such a place?
Staring deep into your heart, I can see it,
Bursting in fathoms of greatness,
That moment will bear witness to the truths in this life.
But consumed by the ideals of “New Rome”,
These thoughts may set your psyche in disarray,
Distressfully banishing your true goal laced within
This time stitched upon your spirit.
Breathe easy if you can,
Separation lies before those whose choice is against Him.
Will drifting forever in the dark of banishment,
Leave you thirsting for the very source of love that destined your soul?

Well put I say, well put. This is such a wonderfully written poem, it carries the reader through effortlessly and, along the way, tries to teach them lessons that are key in life.
I love your word choice, I am always drawn to nice sounding poems, and this is no exception.
Awesome poem ^_^

Wise words.. oh so wise in your young age.
Calming, soothing. Take it easy.. don't let your expectations make you miss your greatest attributes. Take in the fresh air, love wholly, without holding back in fear.
All of these things and more I see here.
Bless you. I hope my Regina gets to read this. You even wrote it on her birthday.. coincidence? Fate?
