My Dear Old MHS
by Taryn Drag (Age: 19)

This is just a fun poem I wrote about my school in study hall last week...Not to be taken seriously, I just wanted to write something funny instead of the sad stuff I've been posting.

Oh grimy halls and old cracked walls
Where students have sex in bathrooms
I love you, but I don't know why
My dear old MHS
Where teachers just don't give a crap
And mice and roaches all run free
Where lunch food moves when it should not
My dear old MHS
We're trapped all day inside your walls
It'd either too hot or too cold
Kids run out of classrooms screaming
At dear old MHS
The hardwood floors are home to mites
The walls, I'm sure, house skeletons
Too many stairs, too little time
At dear old MHS
Half the kids probably are nuts
While the other half are emo
Only my friends and I seem sane
At dear old MHS
I'll be here 'till I graduate
It will be one great adventure
If I can breathe through pothead smoke
My dear old MHS

Again, ONLY A JOKE. I love my school, and it's a wonderful place. This is totally not to be taken seriously!

Ironicly, the school I attend is also MHS, although we live in different states. Even though it is only a joke, you'd be surprised about how much of it is true.
