It's been a while
Since I saw more than your shadow
It's been a while
Since I heard your voice
I haven't seen you smile...
In quite a while
Though, it's been a matter of years
I still think about you
Before I go to sleep at night:
I wonder where you are now
Are you fast asleep?
Or are you still afraid of the dark?
Or have you heard enough fighting...
And darkness within the light?
One, two, three...
Do you still think of me?
Or am I...just not letting go of the past?
I always do that, and dwell on such insignificant things
It's been a while,
Knowing you...
You won't forget
Like I want you to
I'm still here
I'm still me
If only you'd forget that
Even if I stand alone...
I'm at my best as a loner
So I can work even harder without distraction...all by myself
And I can still smile at your memory
