Live to write
Love to laugh
Smiling, learning
Pain’s less than half

Life is so good
We overlook it
So often we say
Life sucks and then quit

Game over, no more
We make ourselves die
Not physically, but inside
I’m not telling a lie

See, now, life doesn’t suck
And love is no joke
Our feelings – so real
This life is no yoke

“See now I like this guy”
“Ooh, she’s dating him?”
Rumors spread like wildfire
It’s really quite grim

You hear someone slit their wrists
Or committed suicide and failed
What have these people got going for them
If the only taste they get is stale

People tend to look on the dark side
And say that they’re okay
They smile, they laugh
But inside their heart’s grey

Someone, look on the brightside
You have to train your heart to know how
In time it gets easier
For your mind to allow

Follow your dreams
Keep your head on straight
Dance to music, sing to the song
Don’t fall for Satan’s bait

There are hard times in ones life
And the good times come and go
Keep that smile on your face
Keep your heart warm and aglow

Don’t be over come by sadness
You can overcome all evil
The power of the Lord is brilliant
All people is an upheaval

Believe in the Lord
And all His grace and power
You’ll be truly amazed
At any time or hour

Turn to the Lord
Just don’t be ashamed
Follow Him with all your heart
And your soul will be reclaimed
