*A tribute to all those who have, and are, fighting in the war*
They did indeed fight for us all
Our freedom and our lives
For our country they did fall
Some will never be revived
The pain and sorrow just trudged on
The content of wars was much
And when the night stars brought the dawn
The fields were red and such
And still, they fight, it never ends
Will freedom be never gained?
Pain in the eyes and happiness is bent
Not real, sincerity is drained
The trumpet sounds, then beats the drum
The soldiers march out to war
Now thunder roars, the time has come
To fight for freedom, now, once more
Do not forget, remember well
For each and every soul
They fought for freedom then they fell
For a single lonely goal

Wow, this is really good! And a good time to remember, as it is almost Nov. 11, Rememberance Day. In this country (Canada), we haven't seen our soldiers in a war for many years. My generation never had a war and it is sometimes hard for me to even imagine what it would be like to fight in one. But we must remember, and you have written a good poem, so that we will.
Thanks.

A strong, steadfast poem; a salute to those honorary men and women risking their lives so that others may live. I praise your work for its steady rhythm and powerful message. I especially like how you wrote this all in quatrains. A strong sense of patriotism simply put. And no spelling or grammar mistakes! Clean and simple, yet strong. Bravo!
