Hero Worship
by Debra Rose (Age: 21)
copyright 11-11-2006

Age Rating: 16 to 127

"Shitkickers" and testosterone,
I'm tasting this sweet penchant
for
something...
whetting my appetite and watching you pace
the frail moonlight dabbling
across your beaded brow.
Slight smirks and cruel grins
Chastise with your eyes the way that I....
....breathe in and say
"I'm sure the world is fine."
Sandalwood and sulfur--
heady combination of scents...
the smell of colognes and bombs and...
blood and death....
Your fingers are calloused as they brush
the skin of my hand and you reply
with a one breathed
monosyllabic
"Hm...."
So locquacious in your grunting
madness.
Boots scuff the ground in a motion
remniscent of the way you
kicked him.
I feel an excitement rise as I
recall the taste of your...
...tears....
Heaven bound, you throw your head back and laugh
and cry out
"They don't hear anyways!
Why do we send our rants
to the heavens...
God's not there anymore!"
But you're wrong...
you hear you
and in the eyes of this
adoring child...
this....
captive of your mind...
this....
slave to your temptaion...
you are god.
And I am just the worshipper
come to pay reverence at your alter.....

Inspired by the relationship between Bella and Zsadist in the book "Lover Awakened" by JR Ward, one of the most amazing authors I have ever had the pleasure to read.

Great write! Imagery, narrative, good word choice... They're all there. One minor point: I think "alter" in this case is spelled "altar."
