The wind whips around
Like the thoughts in my mind
Having to decide between what feels good
And what is right
Whether to keep my soul alive
Or not let it survive
It's been a part of me for so long
It's so hard to let go
Like a habit that's hard to erase
Like I scar I continuously trace
Though I should not turn from the truth in my face
I fear that it will kill me if I don't turn away
It's easier said than done
Contrary to your belief
To kill a heart that seems to try
Than one that already bleeds
Though I long to take your hand
And let the past die with every feeling I had
I can't forget everything
I can't let go of the memory
I want this all just to dissipate
And be in your arms once more
To kill the silence in my dieing heart...
I know you can save me
But the first step is so hard
And I don't want to risk falling again
It's easier said than done
Contrary to your belief
To kill a heart that seems to try
Than one that already bleeds
Though I long to take your hand
And let the past die with every feeling I had
I can't forget everything
I can't let go of the memory
I use to believe that nothing lasts forever
And like life,
This, too, shall pass away
I just need a hand to hold
And a heart to call home
To help me let this go
Let go of the fear of letting go
