666 and down from there
Winds the hallway in my brain
I read and sing and and talk and draw
To keep my head on straight
But every night I walk the same
The doors I find, they are all locked
Except for one
For which I'm scared that I'll be mocked
I know it shouldn't be that way
I should be proud of who I am
But that little black voice inside of me
Keeps hitting it out like a ram
And then tonight as I walked the hall
A different happening came
I pushed on the door numbered '001'
As it came open, someone called my name
I turned about, and a bright white light
Is flashing all around
It comes to clear, and who I see
Makes me want to jump and bound
For it is the Lord that I can see
Right before my very eyes
And I'm amazed when He asks me to
Sit down and have some pie
After the meal He asks me if
I'd like to join Him now
And I accept and am shown around
A book, I wonder how?
And then I wake, quite suddenly
Upon my unmade bed
But at my feet there lies a book,
And this is what it said:
'Don't follow Satan, not ever once
But be anew in all you think
Then you will learn with Me by your side
And you'll be at life's brink' -Romans 12:2
And then I did pick up the book
Very delicately in my hands
And opened it to the first chapter
Where the first man was made from sand
And now, tonight, a different hall
Comes through to me quite clear
It shows who I am and everything
And it is quite clear of fear
So now I lay me, down to sleep
I pray the Lord, my soul to keep
And if I should die, before I wake
I pray the Lord, my soul to take
To rest in Heaven, and eternal peace
Where all the war and fighting's ceased
And there I'll see my Lord again
And every door in the hall is open
