I Serve The God Of Israel
by David Pekrul
copyright 12-23-2006

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I serve the God of Israel,
I serve the God of Jacob,
For He’s the one and only God,
For all the world to worship.

The God of Gentile and the Jew,
The God of every nation,
He formed the Earth and all of space,
And this is His creation.

And He created Lucifer,
The highest of all angels,
But Lucifer defied his God,
And it was very painful.

For Satan fell upon the earth,
Creating such destruction,
As people tried to worship God,
He caused a great obstruction.

But then our God gave up His Son,
And sent the boy to Earth,
And there He died upon a cross,
To free us from the curse.

The curse that Satan did create,
To send us all to Hell,
But if we trust in God’s own Son,
In Heaven we will dwell.

I serve the God of Israel,
I serve the God of Jacob,
For He’s the one and only God,
For all the world to worship.

the feel is very different from the other poem by you I just read...I like the free-flowing and smooth movement of the verse and the strong voice which resonants throughout from stat to finish...I'm intrigued by your writing, and look forward to reading more...
