Sitting in the center of a fairy ring,
Feeling the lonely comfort of a fairy song,
My eyes closed,
I drifted far away,
The dark night chased the day,
I jumped into the river,
And floated along in the summer sun,
I could hear the fairies as they played together on the bank,
Smiling and laughing,
Splashing in the shallower waters there,
I shut my eyes,
The trees of the meadow sighed in the wind,
But I awoke lying inside the fairy ring,
I could still hear the song,
My heart hurt,
But then it felt a fairy's touch,
I bid my cares to part,
And I felt at ease in the fairy ring,
And the fairies all revealed themselves to me,
I reached out,
And my soul flew away with them,
Into the great wide mystery of the sky,
I was no longer alone,
And free,
So free,
Leaving the world behind,
To make my own fairy ring with them,
In the stars...
