Why do some use others?
Why do some allow to be used themselves?
What is there to be gained
just by causing others
this kind of pain?

This is all just nothing more
than silliness;
Friends using friends for
nothing more than things;
What's even worse,
it's family using family,
who cares if they get hurt.

The main victim tends to feel
lost, trapped,
hurt, confused,
and in a circle of turmoil.

It seems that once the victim
is used by one set of friend
family, or relative,
there will always be
someone else to hurt
him or her.

Powerful poem Natalie. So much was said and so many emotions in a short verse. Very well written.

We ARE an arrogant lot, aren't we? The only real and lasting solution I'm aware of is to find a sturdy cave somewhere in the outer regions of the Hindukush and repair to its dimensions with no intentions of returning.

Effective, if not altogether rewarding solution, I'm afraid. The sad truth is, humans will ALWAYS take advantage of other humans. Why? Because they can. Think about it... even monks get cast out of monasteries on occasion for violation of the perceived virtues of monastic life. If it can happen to them, what hope have we?

The only advise I can offer is to do the best you can for as many as you can, and let the chips fall where they may. At the end of the day, I predict you'll be content. Maybe not blissfully happy, but sometimes a little peace of mind is worth a king's ransom of gold.

Sad as it is Natalie, there will always be someone using someone else to gain something.
I think that most of us have been used at sometime in our lives, it is just the circumstances that are different the using is just the same.
On many occasions I have had calls from people (and family) who ask me to do something for them, I do not like to refuse so I often do what is asked. However, more often than not, when I ask for something at a different time they all seem to be too busy to help.
