Head And Soul
by David Pekrul
copyright 01-05-2007

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Down deep, my soul speaks to my head,
In whispers, oh so soft,
My head so often doesn’t hear,
And other times it scoffs.

My head is very rational,
My soul, well not so much,
It plays on feelings, attitudes,
And hopes and dreams and such.

My head believes the things it sees,
My soul, the things it feels,
Its faith is like a mustard seed,
And hidden things reveals.

My head is very skeptical,
My soul is like a sponge,
Accepting what my head rejects,
In faith it takes the plunge.

This battle ‘tween my head and soul,
Is with me every day,
While one says all is black and white,
The other says it’s gray.

Yet as I wrestle with them both,
I understand the truth,
That analyzing what they say,
Will lead to solid proof.

Jeez so many reads yet only one comment. Well hello I am a CC membere here to do my job......comment.
This piece really brought out a lot to me. Sometimes our body and mind and emotions have to work together, not just one thing. I had to re read this to check for errors and to understand certian parts. Overall this was a very delightful piece. I didn't see any errors but then again i'm not exactly the best editor. I like how you mention faith and all the different things the soul will accept or believe.
Also how you mention it is a battle and to me it is like determining what is real, what you know is real, and what you aren't sure of.

I love your work it is spectacular, it is going to take me a while to get through all your work but i look forward to reading it. Also I will send leigh over here, she will definately comment on your work (i can't believe she hasnt been here)

Hmm this is really good, and it makes a lot of sense. I've always wondered though, because you know how well like in a lot of things you're kind of supposed to think with your heart, not your head? Well how do you tell the difference about which is which? Because I think I've explained to you at my house before how I have these three little voices (Lol) and ones black and it's pretty small, ones white and it's a lot bigger than the black one, and then there's this other one that's just there? Well hehe yeah because the white one would be my conscience, and then the black one is probably Satin or something like that... then the other one would just be me, right? But then, how do I tell which are which? Lol sorry that took kind of a long reading space to ask.. but yeah, I've always kind of wondered that...

Anywho, this was a really great work, I think so far it's one of my favourites, and definitely deserves a five^^.
