There’s a combination of words
You could put on the back of a postcard,
A song that you could sing
To open the doors of my heart
Three words, in truth and lovingly,
Is all that it would take for you to always have me
It’s true that we want the love we see
In those old vintage snapshots
It stands the test of time and answers
The questions that we’ve got
It’s true, life will never be easy
But we can both see one thing
Our future’s so warm and breezy
And we’ll always be better together

Oh, we’ll always be together
Yeah, it’s you and me forever
In life, and whatever the endeavor
Yeah, we’ll always be together

I’m busy too you see
With all the things that I do,
And in my dreams at night
I see the things we’ve gone through
And when the stars are gone I’ll wake
And forget that they ever happened
For new days bring new thoughts
And hopes and dreams and actions
These things will pass by night
And the stars will bring me back dear
To those thoughts of you and me
Below that mango tree now

Memories are nice, they’re things

Like home movies running in my head
