What It Means to Feel Human
by Chessie Hodge (Age: 18)
copyright 03-28-2007

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Tumbling into the moon orchids,
Laughter echoes through ice blue irises,
Smiles fade into the sky,
Clothes disappearing piece by piece,
Cool summer wind chasing the clouds away,
Revealing a net of stars intertwined with the sound of the night,

Purity,

Soft skin touching,
Delicate lips meeting,
The world spinning,
Hands reaching out,
Innocence . . .
Sweet innocence . . .

Flower petals gently blowing away,
Moonlight flooding the ground with picturesque incandescence,
Becoming lost within ecstasy,
Clinging tightly to images of love,

Wrapping themselves within one another,
The untainted taste of freedom and happiness coursing through every vein,
All the world is silent for one fleeting moment,
As the vows of forever are engraved upon souls,
As carefree kisses are given without regret,

'Til death do us part . . .

A really nice caring piece full of love and innocence this poem reminds me of the better half of the world since there are still so many cold and cruel people compared to what you've described its well written and gives a vivid image keep up the good work
