How can you explain something you've never seen or felt before?
It's like the unkowing expectance after opening up a long closed door.
It's weird at first, but you can't help to take a peek inside.
And shocked by what you just saw, you know, this you can't hide.
You see the people, you see the love, you see the faith, then you see a friend.
You feel the compassion, the relief, the repent while at the alter his knees slowly bend.
You're amazed by the total trust and by the true passion to be set free.
You suddenly want so much for yourself to understand it all and just to see.
Then you take the step inside and sit on the very last bench with the view in sight.
No one knows you're there, and if they did, they can't detect your fright.
You look down and wonder about all this and where this could be leading to.
You're still very curious and wonder if this you should also do.
Suddenly your friend stands in front of you, holding your hand very, very tight.
Leading you to the alter you feel something that is warm and really, really right.
You're there, you close your eyes, you feel scared, shakey, and extremely odd.
Then the love, the warmth, the tingling, the joy, could this really be God?
You open your eyes and look at the alter, then realize your friend is actually the pastor.
You start crying with joy, and the tighter he holds your hand, the tears, they just run faster.
You start to grow stronger in faith, never once believing you'd find your own way.
Letting go of your friends hand now, you know, God is finally here with you to stay.
How can you explain something you've never seen or felt before?
Just peek inside after opening up a long closed door.
