Reflections (Dr. Quinn poem)
by Lisa Anderson (Age: 18)
copyright 02-05-2007

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I looked at my reflection
And thought of the innocence
Of women who are plagued
By this condition.

I place my right hand
Onto my right breast
And reflect: in the mirror
And at my future.

He comes to me softly
And whispers in my ear.
I know what you are thinking
And the answer is yes.

I will love you forever,
Whatever my come,
Whatever may happen,
I will always love you.

I am reassured that
My fate will make no
Difference to me. His
Love will be my life.

Based upon the Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman series

Oooh more Dr. Quinn. I should probably read up on her. She seems like a very interesting woman from your poems of her so far. This one I find didn't have as many flow issues, though there's a few snags, just how the lines don't match in syllable count. But I realized between works, that it may be your intent to do that, so if it is, ignore me XD

I'm not familiar with Dr. Quinn, but you've turned out a really good poem. I like the flow and the imagery. You're not trying to show off or put on airs and I like that. You show definite signs of talent. Keep writing.
