Terrified mice duck
for cover in old car seat--
Boy with basketball.

My sister kissed me!
First girl to cross my lips--
but Lord, my sister!

Girl in yellow shorts
skimming stones across the pond--
look! five in a row!

Frog dives, stays under
water like a submarine.
But at night he sings!

One egret feather
floating across my window--
wonder who lost it.

Stone lantern in my
garden, capped with snow as if
plum trees were blooming--
